Nifty ends with profit booking down 40 pts
The BSE IT index fell over 2% after the rupee moved up to an 18-month high today. Breadth was bullish - out of over 2,880 scrips traded, over 1,690 logged gains.
Infosys and Wipro declined over 2% each to Rs 2,644 and Rs 699, respectively. TCS was down over 1% at Rs 800.
HDFC Bank slipped nearly 3% to Rs 1,906. Grasim, Hero Honda, Sun and L&T also declined today.
DLF moved up over 3% to Rs 309. Tata Motors, Sterlite, BHEL and HUL also closed with gains.
