Nifty End Flat at 4870 up 13 pts

The Sensex opened on a subdued note at 16,213 and dropped to a low of 16,179 in morning deals. Buying at lower levels saw the index move up to a high of 16,325 - an intra-day gain of over 145 points. The Sensex finally closed  with a gain of 49 points (0.39%) at 16,286. The Nifty was up 13 points at 4,870.

The BSE Auto index dropped nearly 2%. Breadth was bearish - out of over 2,895 scrips traded, over 1,900 declined.
Realty index gained over 1%..
